About Me

My photo
Cash was born on 2-22-10. He is a beautiful baby boy with 2 sisters that love him very much! When Cash was 2 months old, we noticed that he wasn't tracking with his eyes. We took him to the doctor &, after an MRI, found out that he has Septo-Optic Dysplasia & is blind. The doctors told us that there's nothing we can do. We refused to believe that we were helpless. We researched immediately & found out about Stem Cell Transplants being done in China that can help regrow the nerves. Many desperate parents & children are going over there & coming back with amazing improvements... miracles! The treatment costs are incredibly expensive and insurance doesn't contribute. With the help of many generous people, we were able to take Cash to China in June 2011. He was completely blind before we went. Now not only does he see light, but he can locate the source that it is coming from. He sees colors as well and seems to really notice the color red. We are currently fundraising for trip number 2. We have PayPal set up that goes directly into Cash's fund. Please help us spread the word and give the gift of sight to our precious little man!

Cash is starting therapy!!

Wonderful news! We had therapists from Early Childhood Intervention come out to our house to evaluate Cash. They were very impressed with the progress he's making on his own. Developmental delays are to be expected in a child that is blind, but Cash is doing exceedingly well! They were very happy to see how well he's rolling around, sitting up, and playing with all kinds of toys. He badly wants to crawl, but were not sure if he will or not. Alot of vision impaired babies skip crawling just because they dot have anything to crawl to. Cash can't see that toy in front of him that would motivate him to crawl. But if he does or doesn't crawl, he's definitely going to walk! He takes alot of steps holding onto my hands. He can also stand for a bit holding onto something, and he gets very proud of himself :) Anyways, back to the therapy. They are going to come twice a week to our house, which will really help since I have the girls here. He will have 1 hour long session with an Occupational therapist, and one 30 minute session with a vision therpist. We are VERY excited to see our little man flourish and learn new things! Please pray for us as we go through this journey. I will try and keep everyone updated on his progress!

Sincerely,
Morgan and Jesse
